Faux mosaic encaustic floor tiles with matching borders, circa 1920–1930.

These beautifully crafted tiles were produced by the Belgian company Morialmé and originate from the 1920s–30s. The floor was salvaged from a maison de maître in a small village near Brussels. The border tiles can be installed individually or paired back-to-back to create a striking double border. The central four-tile pattern features a stylized thistle motif. With its harmonious color scheme and elegant design, this floor is perfectly suited for spaces like a winter garden, terrace, patio, or poolside area.”

Reclaimed ceramic floor with Art-Nouveau design circa 1910

The beautiful tiles were reclaimed from a bourgeois house in Antwerp and were produced before 1910 by Guillot Hemixem. The floor still breathes the spirit of Art Nouveau, with its organic shapes and flowing curves that are so typical of the style. The matching border tiles can be laid in a single row, or doubled for a more striking effect. The floor has a ritch patina and some tiles show edge nibbles but this can be expected from a floor of more than 100 years old.

This encaustic floor with original triple border has been reclaimed from a house close to Brussels and was made by the Belgian company, SA La Ceramique Moderne from Rebaix. The floor showcases a beautiful flower pattern in shades of soft grey, blue and white.

Antique ceramic Art-Nouveau floor

These floor tiles have been reclaimed from a Belle Epoque house near Antwerp. The encaustic tiles were produced at the beginning of the 20th century by the Belgian company Amay. The tessellation is formed by 4 identical tiles which shows the elegant lines, curves and organic shapes that are so typical for the Art-Nouveau design. The field tiles are framed by a double border.

Rare Antique ceramic tiles cc 1895.

This floor has been salvaged from a “Belle époque” house near the sea side and can be traced back to a Belgian company: Saint Ghislain. They produced and stamped the tiles around 1895. These stunning Art-Nouveau encaustic tiles show a classic geometric flower pattern in a cool color palette of black and white. Some tiles show edge nibbles but this can be expected from a floor of more than a 100 years old.

These ceramic encaustic floor tiles date from the 1920’s and were produced by the Belgian company Produits Céramiques de St Rémy-Chimay. They have been reclaimed from and old residence on the sea side. False mosaic designs were popular before world war one and again often used in the 1920-1930. The four-tile geometric design will always catch the eye.

Antique mosaic encaustic flower themed tiles from 1900

This beautiful flower themed floor has been reclaimed from a Belle Epoque residence near Brussels in Belgium. The vegetal theme is typical for the Art-Nouveau period. In the photo library is a picture included of the empire hall of The Ursuline institute (Belgium). This institute has been considered as a trough Art- Nouveau gem. The floor has a pattern that is almost identical to this one, even produced by the same company. Some tiles have edge nibbles and groutable chips, but this can be expected from a floor of more than 100 years old.

The floor tiles were produced by the Belgian company produits céramiques de Saint-Ghislain. The false mosaic design was popular before world war one and again often used in the 1920-1930. The floral motif and cool palette will bring character to almost every room.

These ceramic encaustic floor tiles date from the 1920’s and have been reclaimed from a fine house house in the center of Ghent (Belgium). The floor tiles were produced by the Belgian company PCSR Saint-Remy from 1918 onwards. The false mosaic design was popular before world war one and again often used in the 1920-1930. The strong geometric motif and warm and colorful palette will bring character to every room.

This floor has been salvaged from a “Belle époque” house near Gent and can be traced back to the trade catalog of the Belgian company Saint Ghislain of 1895. These stunning Art-Nouveau encaustic tiles show a star pattern in a cool color palette of black, blue, white and a touch of gold. Some tiles show edge nibbles or groutable chips but this can be expected from a floor of more than 120 years old.
