Description
These encaustic tiles have been reclaimed from a fine house near Charlerloi. The tiles were made and stamped by Gilliot Hemiksem around 1920. This striking floor with a double pattern (a 16-tile pattern is alternated with a four tile motif) is impressive and classical in design. De floor tiles are framed by a dubble border. Some tiles show edge nibbles.
