Description
This encaustic floor has been reclaimed from a house close to Brussels and was made by the Belgian company: SA La Ceramique Moderne from Rebaix around 1914. The floor has an antique and pleasing patina. Some tiles have edge nibbles and groutable chips, but this can be expected from a floor of more than 100 years old.
Possible applications:
These ceramic tiles can be used as a decorative and practical splash back or in an inside or outside shower. It is also quite easy to combine them with plane tiles. Or they can be laid as a stone carpet framed in a larger area of parquet or cast floor.
